Issue 7 (Metro Moves sales tax hike .5%) was defeated soundly, and Issue 2 was defeated just barely. Republicans won control of both the House and Senate, but what is the likelyhood that we get a simpler tax code, lower taxes, and reduced spending? I'd say about the same likelyhood as me winning the lottery, and I don't buy tickets...
