Have you ever heard of something called Governmental Immunity (Soverign Immunity)? Well it is what allows a city/state/county/federal government employee(s) to casue personal or property damage to others while not being held liable. Yep... absurd ins't it? Perfect example, today a friend had his car hit by a City of Cincinnati garbage truck, drug 15 feet, and smashed into a tree. The city solicitor's response: We aren't liable citing "soverign immunity". Well as absurd as it sounds, it exists. So the next time that Metro driver starts to pull out in front of you... let the asshole in because guess what... they are covered by soverign immunity as well. I suppose from the government's standpoint it makes sense, I mean who the hell would insure the Metro drivers!!?

Today was interesting. Jennifer and I tried to go to the Bengals game today. We heard tickets were being sold for $10 - $15 a piece. By the time we got there and walked around the stadium they were asking $54!!! So we went to a few bars instead. Funny how buying a $2 ride to the game on a Riverboat seems like a great idea until you want to get back to the other side of the river BEFORE the 3rd quarter!
