Tivo Customer Service...

How about a big three thumbs down to Tivo Customer service. I bought my parent s a Tivo for Christmas and the thing has been locking up and generally giving them fits. After the first call to customer service I figured I'd give them the benefit of the doubt regarding "sporadic lock-ups", eventhough my computer engineering background tells me it is a hardware defect somewhere. Well sure enough the unit started locking up again and after a call to Tivo Support at 7:30 PM PDT, and an estimated hold time of "20 minutes", TiVo hung up on us at 8:00 PM, when they close. No message, no sorry, nothing. Just dead air. That's insult to the injury we sustained listening to the horrible and obnoxiously loud on hold music. Come on TiVo, I have purchased three boxes (All with lifetime service) and this is the best CS I can get? In the voice of GOB Bluth "Come On!"

Joined Cincinnati Cycle Club and Active.com

I just joined Cincinnati Cycle Club and Active.com. CCC's website is http://www.cincinnaticycleclub.org . One of the benefits of joining Active.com is the ability to get free passes for your bike on flights from America West. Of course Cincinnati being a Delta hub, America West doesn't fly from here, but they do from Columbus!! It normally costs $80 EACH way to take a bike on a flight and there is no real practical way to get it into a case less than 62 linear inches (where the surcharge kicks in). Cincinnati Cycle club has rides all over the area and I am looking forward to joining a few!

What a beautiful day!!!

Started out in the 50s when I got outside today but ended up in the upper 60s to low 70s. Perfect for a ride. I rode from my apartment in Wilder to Starbucks in Mt Lookout on Rt. 50. Very nice ride. It is a little hilly at the start to avoid the AA Highway into Newport but relatively flat after that. I stopped in freedom park for a drink and saw a couple other cyclists, then carried on to Starbucks and headed back. I took the Purple People briddge on the way back and Newport on the Levee and Hofbrauhaus were hoppin! There is a new place on Pete Rose Way that looked pretty happening too judging by the two gigantic limos that were parked out front!! Have to chek it out.

Ride Details: Avg: 14.3 MPH Max: 29 Riding Time: 1hr 5min 31sec (I need to check this distance, it seems low)
