Beautiful day for a...

bike ride!

I decided to skip the gym and instead try to get a good ride in this evening. I ended up going from my apartment out AA Highway (Route 9) into Newport and over the Purple People bridge into Cincinnati. I then headed up into downtown via Broadway and up around the outside of downtown via Gilbert. Once I was past the top of gilbert I took Campus Dr to UC and then rode down Vine St into downtown. I took the road west of Main through downtown and again across the purple people bridge into Newport and out the AA to my apartment. The AA is DEFINITELY the way to go into town! It beats the hell out of the back roads but I'd hate to ride it during rush hours. This route had MANY long gradual climbs into town and a great ride down Vine St, into downtown!

What a day!

I want to thank Katie for taking me out rollerblading today. I haven't had this much fun on a date in a long time! We might have only gone 5 or 6 miles, but hey you have to start somewhere! This was my first "real" time out on blades. Thankfully she required me to get full protective equipment and it all came in handy! :) The weather was incredible and we both got a little too much sun! What a day though!
